Anshula Kant - The World Bank Group announced that Anshula Kant, an Indian national, has been appointed Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Kant will be the first woman CFO of the Bank.
Christine Lagarde - Christine Lagarde announced that she will step down as managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In her announcement she said that she has taken this decision because of her nomination as European Central Bank (ECB) president.
Kulbhushan Jadhav - The International Court of Justice has put Kulbhushan Jadhav’s execution on hold.  ICJ has directed Pakistan to review the death sentence order, to reconsider it and give Kulbhushan Yadav a fair trial by providing him consular access.
SAARC Film Festival - Director Kaushik Ganguly's Bengali film 'Nagarkirtan', has won 4 awards in SAARC film festival in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The movie was honoured with 'Best Feature Film', 'Best Director', 'Best Actor' and 'Best Original Score' awards.
World Heritage Committee - 43rd session of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO was held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan from 30 June to 10 July 2019. In the meeting, UNESCO named 29 new World Heritage sites for 2019 including Jaipur City, Rajasthan.
International Shooting Sport Federation - International Shooting Sport Federation approved India's application to host the ISSF World Cup stages. World Cup will be held in New Delhi from March 15 to 26, 2020. The last edition of ISSF World Cup was held in Munich, Germany.
Baba Guru Nanak University - Pakistan Punjab’s chief minister laid the foundation stone of Baba Guru Nanak University at Nanakana Sahib. The University was dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev at his birth place.
PATA Gold Award - The "Find the Incredible You" campaign of the Tourism Ministry, has won the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Award, 2019.
National Medical Commission Bill - The Union Cabinet has approved National Medical Commission Bill, 2019. The bill provides for setting up of a National Medical Commission in place of Medical Council of India and repeal the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
Palau - Palau became the 76th signatory countryto join the International Solar Alliance. The International Solar Alliance is a group of 121 solar resource-rich countries with headquarters in Gurugram, India. 
Asian Development Outlook - Asian Development Bank lowered India's GDP growth rate from 7.2% to 7% for the current fiscal year. India is expected to grow by 7% in 2019 and 7.2% in 2020 according to Asian Development Outlook 2019.
US company, Ebix has announced the acquisition of travel portal Yatra Online for $337.8 million.
Himalayan states conclave - Uttarakhand will host the first ever Himalayan states conclave on July 28 where the prime focus will be on sustainable development. The conclave will host the Chief Ministers of the Himalayan states - Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram and Nagaland, along with administrators and specialists.
Internet Saathi - Google India and Tata Trusts initiative is aimed at facilitating digital literacy among women in rural India named "Internet Saathi". This initiative will be expanded to villages in Punjab and Odisha.

Central Universities (Amendment) Bill - The Rajya Sabha passed the Central Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2019. The Bill aims the establishment of a Central University and Tribal University in Andhra Pradesh. The total outlay for the Central University project is Rs 902.07 crore and for Tribal University is Rs 836 crore. 
Defence Deal - Israel Aerospace signs $50 million follow-up deal with Indian navy. Under the deal, Israel Aerospace Industries will provide complementary missile systems to the Indian navy.
Justice AK Sikri - Former Supreme Court judge, Justice AK Sikri, has been appointed as an international judge of the Singapore International Commercial court (SICC).
India-UK Joint Economic and Trade Committee - 13th meeting of the India-UK Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) was held in London. Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Railways and Secretary of State for International Trade of the UK participated in the meeting.

Penalty on Facebook - U.S.'s Federal Trade Commission have approved a $5 billion penalty to be levied on Facebook. The penalty have been approved to settle a probe into the social network’s privacy and data protection lapses. It would be the largest penalty ever imposed by the FTC for privacy violations.
Penalty on SBI and UBI - The Reserve Bank of India has penalised State Bank of India (Rs 7 crore) and Union Bank of India (Rs 10 lakh) for violating certain regulatory guidelines.
Spektr-RG - Russia launched a space telescope from the cosmodrome in Baikonur, Kazakhstan. It was a joint project with Germany. The Russian space agency, showed a Proton-M rocket carrying the Spektr-RG known as the “Russian Hubble”, taking off from the launch pad.
Chandrakant Kavlekar - Chandrakant Kavlekar to be the new Deputy Chief Minister of Goa. He will replace Vijai Sardesai as the deputy chief minister of Goa.

Merger of Insurance Company - National Insurance Company Limited, United India Assurance Company Limited and Oriental India Insurance Company Limited will soon be merged into a single insurance entity. Government will propose an amendment in General Insurance Business (Nationalisation) Act, 1972.
